How Easy It Is To Consign With Resale Gal!

People always ask us: "You have such beautiful things, where do you get it all from"  the answer is YOU!

Our business would not function without the unique, high quality and well maintained merchandise that we get from you – our valued consignors.  Just because it no longer works in your home, does not mean that somebody else won’t be thrilled with it.

Why Consign with Resale Gal!
Qualified buyers have constant access to your items... without disrupting your home, inconveniencing you and without security risks.  We accept Visa, Mastercard & American Express. We offer a showroom environment where the buyer can take their time and shop.   

You can earn you money on items you are no longer using!  Resale Gal  takes a 50% commission upon final sale of your items.

Consignment Agreement Time Frame:

The consignment agreement is for a period of 90 days.  
We will discount items based on time in store and if we are hosting any special events. The consignor is responsible for tracking the 90 day agreement.  Resale Gal does not mail out 90 day statements.  Items left in Resale Gal over 115 days are deemed abandoned and will be discarded or donated at our discretion.  No pay out will occur on items left in the store for over 90 days.


The Evaluation Process

Before we get started we need to be sure that your merchandise is salable. 

Send us a picture: 
From a picture, we are able to get a sense of the style and condition and are then able to ask some educated questions about your furniture.  We are also available for home visits when multiple items are being considered for consignment.

Karie@Resalegal.com, or bring your digital camera into our store and we will look at them with you and discuss the items.  Home visits are available by appointment when multiple items are being considered for consignment.   Or if it is convenient for you to bring the merchandise by our store, we can evaluate it on our premise.  We are available to evaluate your furniture during any of our normal business hours, but to be sure someone will be there to assist you, it is still best to call ahead. 

Currently Store Hours are Thursday 10:00 am ~ 7:00pm, Friday 10:00am ~ 7:00pm, Saturday 10:00am till 5:00pm & Sunday 11:00am till 5:00pm.  Appointments time are available for Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday

Condition: 

To be salable in our store, the merchandise must be in good to mint condition. Evaluating your furniture on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, we look for pieces that are in between a 7 and a 10.   If it is damaged, stained or in poor condition it will not sell.  We do not repair, recondition or fix furniture.

Style: 
We welcome quality items that have a timeless sense of style.  Furniture, like clothing, can go in and out of style.  Out of date furniture can be well constructed and in pristine condition, but if the style is not salable today, then we would not be able to handle your merchandise.

Original Purchase Price: 
We like to take into consideration the original purchase price of your furniture.  This helps us to develop an asking price and to see if it can command an asking price that would make sense for you as the consignor and for us as your agent.

Inventory Pricing:
Our pricing formula consists of: condition, style, finish, color, original sale price and in some cases what the piece could be purchased new for in the current market .  Any information additional information you have on the piece is always helpful.  The customers like to know the history of an item. We also factor in our experience with how other similar pieces have sold in the past.

Pick up & Delivery Services:
If it is possible for you to deliver your merchandise to our store, we are able to assist you during any of our normal business hours.  For larger items, it is best to call ahead to be sure that we have some strong backs on-site to give you hand.  Also, to ensure we have the showroom space to accommodate your item(s).

We also offer an affordable and professional pick-up services.  Our Rates start at $75.00 but will increase based on location and amount of items to be picked up.  If the items are to large for our truck, we can provide you with the names and numbers to many professional movers as well.
  


Sell The Items!
Resale Gal takes it from here!  We dust and oil your furniture to make it as desirable as possible.  After all, it is in our interest to sell your merchandise for as much as possible!  We do not do major repairs or excessive cleaning on your items.   From there, we professionally merchandise your furniture, and our professional sales staff will work to sell your furniture.

Your Check:
Upon the sale of your furniture, we will write you a check.  Checks are batched together at the end of each month for the previous month’s sales.   We take a 50% commission on final sale price of your items.
